Nowadays, people more depend on the internet in working, learning, shopping, entertaining or doing any banking transaction but are you sure you are safe. Are you sure that you details and data are safe?

Bellow are the tips on how to avoid problems or scammers during online in the internet.

  1. AVOID DOWNLOADING ILLEGITIMATE SOFTWARE ON YOUR PHONE OR PC
    Downloading illegitimate software from illegitimate site can harm your machine. Sometime the sites will include virus in the download link where will be download together when you download the software on their site.

    They can put Trojan virus that can harm your machine, or Spyware to spy you or any virus that can lock you machine like WannaCry.

2. AVOID USING OR SURFING ILLEGITIMATE SITES
Avoid using illegitimate sites to watch movies or dramas. Mostly the illegal sites will insert SQL Injection link that will affect your experience on the site. Sometime the links will direct you to an unsafe sites including porn sites.

Furthermore watching movies or dramas on the illegal site is wrong as the sites already violated the copyright & trademark act of the movies and drama. Bellow are some legal websites or services that you can watch movies or dramas online.

3. SAFE CLICK ACTION (PHISHING SITE)
Nowadays, online shopping and online banking booming like mushroom. This attract the scammer to broaden their their business in scamming people. Nowadays we can read or hear about the Phishing site the can make your money in your account disappear.

4. SAFE CLICK ACTION – EMAIL/MESSAGE
Scammers nowadays are really creative in their business activities. They will throw their baits to the victims through email or through SMS or Message on your social media messaging apps.

Please make sure the message is the legit from the bank or from the receiver, by checking the numbers or email address on the sender details. If you are unsure please do contact them for assistance. (Please get the details on the legit site not on the message or on the mail that they sent to you).

5. STRONG AND HARD TO GUESS PASSWORD
Using your birthday, you love one birthday or your wedding day as your password is a bad idea. Never use these number as your password as hackers will always try these number to access your account. What about your social security number (IC NUMBER), again don’t use any password that the numbers or words related to you.

Always use combination of numbers, letters or symbols as your password. The more you hard to remember is better, but make sure that you copy and keep your password in a safe place. 6. USING TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (2FA)
Using a two-factor authentication on login is a good idea. You might be find this is a hassle act but this act also can save you from the brutal hacker. By using the Two-factor authentication, you will require to enter the secret code or another password that you have safe previously.

Last for not least, always read the site terms and conditions and also read their privacy and policy before registering on a website for any reason. This is a crucial step to protect your identity and personal information.
